The Samtflor quality was created almost 60 years ago based on an idea by a clever weaver who wanted to create a velvet that was thicker with a higher pile, thereby paving the way for the success of GIRLOON woven carpets.  Since this time - and this is unique in Europe - Samtflor has remained on the market almost unchanged. The fabric appearance of SAMTFLOR is also unique. Its brilliant velvet character is shown in its velour-like, voluminous and matt quality that is available in a wide range of colours.
