Our sustainability standards are documented and verified. The Blue Angel RAL-UZ 128 certification confirms a healthy indoor environment free of harmful substances. TÜV PROFICERT monitors health and quality criteria. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) make our environmental impact transparent. EPDs are available for all products—the data foundation that planners need for building certifications under LEED v4, BREEAM, and DGNB. For nearly 20 years, we have consciously avoided using PVC, bitumen, and EVA. Because responsibility must be measurable.

What does it mean that INFLOOR-GIRLOON has not used heavy coatings for over 20 years?

We have deliberately not used PVC, bitumen or EVA in our products since 2005. Instead, we use lightweight, recyclable backing constructions that significantly simplify the dismantling and recycling of our floor coverings - without compromising on stability or installation properties.

What is cycle technology?

Cycle is our circular concept for textile floor coverings. The products are made from 100% recycled materials and are fully recyclable after the usage phase. This means that old floor coverings are returned to production instead of ending up in landfill.

Which building certifications do INFLOOR-GIRLOON products support?

Our EPDs provide the life cycle assessment data used in LEED v4, BREEAM, and DGNB ratings. Whether a project achieves a certain rating level depends on the building’s intended use and its overall environmental performance. To this end, EPDs (Environmental Product
Declarations) are available for all products, making their environmental impact transparent and comparable.

What does the Blue Angel RAL-UZ 128 confirm for your floor coverings?

The Blue Angel certifies that our carpets comply with strict emission limits and contribute to a healthy indoor climate. The award includes requirements for freedom from harmful substances, low VOC emissions and environmentally friendly production. All our products bear this seal.

Is it produced in Germany and what does that mean for sustainability?

Yes, our entire production is located in Herzebrock, North Rhine-Westphalia. This significantly reduces transportation routes and CO₂ emissions compared to imports. At the same time, local production enables short response times and direct control over material quality and environmental standards.
